    Phones for DJs or recording...

    Got the Beyer 252s because of good reviews of the 250s, so I'd have some cans for recording string players and others who need to hear their instrument out of their other ear for intonation and blending with other musicicians in the room. Excellent phones, relatively transparent; music sounds like it should, maybe a little forward in the low mids compared to the Sennheiser HD280 Pros I've used, more like the Sennheiser HD 202s (more bass heavy for DJs and such) but with what feels like less bass extension...sounds good and solid from 200-80Hz, but not much below the "chest" range. But what do you expect from headphones? :) Great buy, I'm really happy with them.
