    The fit was a straight forward one but the lighting levels are less than the same rated standard bulb

    Easy fit, direct replacement for a standard bulb but on both the standard and brake light settings, there is less light than offered by a standard bulb. So my recommendation is with the proviso that you're happy to accept something that's a little more dim, than normal bulbs.
