Excellent well made product
Quiet yet powerful fan. It's a very clever design: it works standing-up for wider area smoke removal or horizontal on it's back for higher speed local smoke removal. When horizontal the lower profile does not block the light. While it's not likely to suffer damage on my workbench, it's made out of solid plastic and the power switch seems to be of good quality. It even has a grounded three-prong plug, which is needed since it's ESD-safe. This is my first fume extractor--having the smoke drawn away from the solder work is not only better for your health, it makes soldering easier because the smoke does not obscure your vision, even for a second. There is even an optional 'arm-mount' to keep it off the workbench. Overall a solidly built pro-grade product like all the things Hakko makes.
