When Covid hit, this game flew off the shelves and was nearly impossible to get for less than $150.00, so I was really happy I could get it for less and it shipped immediately. I've been using the Adventure Mode to maintain a regular workout, and I've been surprised how much I like it. Sure, it's a little cheesy, but I'm an RPG gamer who's been grinding out levels for years. Turns out, if I have to physically do each turn of combat, I'm gonna get a pretty impressive workout just by trying to power game as much as possible. In just the two weeks I've had it, I've already lost 6 lbs. and I'm on my way to losing more, and that's just on the average settings with two "levels" a day (give or take).

Pros: The game starts off strong - I like how the difficulty is adjustable, you can play as many levels as you want for your workout, and the cooldown stretch is based on what you actually did. Choosing different moves based on the RPG scenarios is fun and helps keep it from getting mindless. I don't know how long the campaign is but after two weeks of play I still look forward to it daily and feel engaged when playing. Cons: The characters WILL NOT SHUT UP. I've found that playing the game on mute is the way to go. More importantly, I've been having a lot of trouble with a lot of the leg moves - the criteria for squats is so far past my range of motion as to be painful to attempt, and I've had a few moves where the game just doesn't recognize the motion even if I try my best. I've gotten around this by "cheating" and either doing a different motion or holding the leg joy con in my hand to simulate what it's looking for. It cheapens the experience but it's better than being unable to progress without shattering my knees.Read full review

The end objective is to get daughters to play the game with discipline of at least 30 minutes a day..... They have not achieved it but they see it feasible and they understand the purpose.... its just now a matter of them DOING IT.

We love this game! My son played it too long and got some sore muscles. I am a runner but not every day. It is HOT in New Mexico so this has been a fabulous way for all of us ( me and my twin 9 year olds) to get exercise in the house. The bad guy is funny, graphics are beautiful and it can be as tough or (fairly) easy as you like. Worth every penny.

Fun game. I do wish you could actually customize your play character but it is fun and simple exercising without feeling like a chore. Will you get ripped? Probably not. But could you maybe tone up and have fun while doing squats, lunges and shoulder exercises? Probably so. I like the mini games, and the story is also fun. The Nintendo Ring Con seems very sturdy and does have a good amount of tension. Overall, I recommend it.
