Works great. I wish I would have changed this a year ago when the old one went out.
This was a direct replacement for my previous fan. It was pouring rain so I went in the attic and loosened the mounting brackets on the fan and changed it that way. The attic is 10 degrees cooler with the fan now.

The fan works fine but the thermostat would not shut off. Short of pulling the unit out of my attic I bought a better quality thermostat that was much less work.

easy install common size
Had gable vent fan quit. This fan was easy replacement. Same size as old fan. Just hooked back the wire in the thermostat box, set to recommended temp.

Makes a huge difference in your home temperature.
Fairly quiet with good output. The integrated thermostat is essential for non-continuous or non-manual operation. I added foam padding in between the brackets and the cowel to minimize vibration. Once installed, close the remaining space around the fan with plywood to reduce wasted air pressure.

works well, it just did not come with mounting screws for mounting it to my wood frame house.
It was a perfect fit but its limited to the garage area only at venting out the hot air in attic. And its motor is toughing it out in the 105 degree attic, so far its still working day/night. But it does nothing for the rest of my 1900 sq ft main house. In way of cooling that part down. I would have to install a much bigger vent fan in the center of my house in order to see some real results. But i'm hoping this attic vent fan will produce some good results , through my electric bill this summer,,, Its very hot rt now.It was a perfect fit but its limited to the garage area only at venting out the hot air in attic.
