Athearn DCC conversions
This board makes it very easy to convert the older Genesis type locos to DCC. I had some early runs that I wanted to convert to DCC and this makes it very easy and the decoder can be replaced easily if it fails. The plug in socket makes that possible. I also used the board to replace the MRC sound decoders in the early runs that Athearn produced. The MRC decoders did not work, to my standards, and were continually stopping and starting up while in use. The board made it very easy to add LocSound decoders to the units. This board makes it very easy to convert the older Genesis type locos to DCC.
