Logitech ergo's better ...
The Kensington works fine and it's fast but I do not like the ergonomics compared to the Logitech marble mouse, which I have used for years. The Kensington has it's trackball placed too far forward and is very uncomfortable for me. I'mm keeping it for a spare and because it's wireless, but for me it's too uncomfortable to use on a regular basis ...

The scroll function is intermittent, and not as easy to use as the movable ring type. Maybe it will just take some time to get used to. Seems to be well built.

Might be the best trackball ever
This trackball hits all the right notes. I've owned way toooo many trackballs. And every one had a flaw. The buttons wore out too fast. Most were too big to fit in a keyboard tray. Some liked to migrate around my desk. If you have the luxury of building your desk life around a trackball, there are other choices but this one just works everywhere... even under Linux. Scrolling works in both the standard verticle direction and (when the shift key is pressed) horizontally ... and it does so out of the box. The Vertical scrolling isn't as fast as some other trackballs but it is more than fast enough for short-to-medium distances. For longer distances, it's easy enough to track over to the window's scrollbars. That is more than offset by how well it handles horizontal scrolling. The side ... But (once you get used to them) they work perfectly. No trying to keep which button is which straight. And, they function to keep the hand ergonomically positioned over the trackball. The pads on the bottom are just sticky enough to keep the trackball from wandering around... even on a very smooth desk. Most trackballs are ... beefy. This one is *just* small enough to be portable and fit well in keyboard trays and otehr places where trackballs usually don't work. I'm looking at you... every other top rated trackball that my desk has knocked off on the floor when I close my keyboard tray. The unit itself is short enough that it doesn't get knocked off a keyboard tray (when closing it under the desk) and compact enough to easily travel. Size-wise its comparable to a large travel mouse. And... while I assume it works this well on Windows and Mac, it does all this on Ubuntu Linux 22 out of the box. The only config change I had to make was to (essentially) clear out the changes I had made to get another trackball functional. Note: this review is of the newer version (K72352) with bluetooth. The older non-bluetooth versions use a usb transceiver that is hardcoded to the trackball and can not be replaced if lost. Stick with the ones that have bluetooth (unles you're very very careful with the dongle)

Kensington wireless trackball mouse
I like the Kensington orbit wireless trackball mouse, the only thing that's going to take some getting used to is the fact that it travels, when I go to click on something it tends to slide away. Not sure if it will just take my getting used to it or what but I'll keep trying

Great Simple Mouse. No 100 buttons to learn. Scrolling takes a little to get used to. I like the dual connection of this one: USB dongle or Bluetooth. Note: most of these are dongle only. Nice and compact. Own two now.
