Well I can't lie, this game is from 2004 and it shows, but at the same time there really hasn't been another Godzilla game since that's at least this level of somewhat decent. It has a roster of 18 with all the big hitters you'd want in a Godzilla game like Mothra and Godzilla, all looking charmingly low poly. Maybe even a little lower poly than you would expect on a PS2 game, but still a fair roster all the same with abilities than seem appropriate for each character. The stages are small and similarly primitive, but with all the basics you could want; cars to get knocked about, buildings to bump into, military forces to add more chaos, even some famous landmarks are present in all their low res glory like Big Ben and Tokyo Tower. The selection is a nice assortment of famous cities from around the globe like London and Tokyo, as well as plenty of American cities with their wide 12 lane highways running straight through the center of town (which gives plenty of room for Godzilla and friends). The game is fine and all but it's just a shame that there hasn't been an actual really good modern Godzilla video game, the last one that came out for consoles was in 2014 and that one was slow, clunky, and is no longer available for purchase. Since then, it's just been a slow drop of horrible grindy predatory mobile games. I just want a new Godzilla game.Read full review

Godzilla and his derivatives, Mechagodzilla and Godzilla 2000 come alive, along with multiple cinematized creatures like Mothra to battle each other, or in a melee format. This game is fun, each creature has his own fighting style and you choose the city which is destroyed in the battle. This game has multiple attributes, is fun for brothers, play dates and dad-vs-the son. I recommend it but since I still lose too much to my 11 year old, I will give it only a Good rating!
Not what I thought the game was going to be, but it's still fun to fight the monsters. I personally thought it was quite difficult to get enough points to unlock new monsters so I ended up using cheat codes. Not much to the game, but my son loves it to death.

I don't use it, but my son is in love with it. It is easy enough for him to use(6 years old). He is autistic and has been fixated on it ever since he saw a clip with my husband on You Tube. The graphics are decent. There are a bunch of different play modes, he hasn't gotten into the story mode yet, is just having fun with the melee mode and 1 on 1 fight mode. This is rated teen, but I haven't seen any goreyness yet. So far I have only seen monsters attacking each other, no blood or anything like that. But like I said, he hasn't tried the story mode yet. Overall a good game.
Game didn't come with original case but came in a sturdy clear CD jewel case, which was adequate. A bit of wear, but that comes standard with used items. All scratches are minor and nothing game breaking. Game plays near flawlessly on my refurbished PS2. Good buy!
