    Excellent Upgrade if You Need Quad Core

    I replaced a AMD A6 3.6 Mhz Duo Core hoping for improved computational time. With the A6 my CPU monitor showed regular CPU frequency over 100% most of the time. I leave several windows open at a time on my browser plus at least 6 open programs/apps. I lowered my CPU speed but increased threads hoping for improvement. It was not dramatic, but there seemed to be a faster time for launching programs/apps as well as quicker internet connection. I am pleased with the product's performance after 3 weeks of use. Installation was a snap and took just a few minutes. Disclaimer: I am very partial to AMD processors, and they have never failed me.

    Processor Upgrade

    My power cord attachment to my mother board fried, so I shopped for a new mother board, and while I was at it, a upgrade on the processor and a increase in memory. For $228.00, I upgraded from a dual core to a quad core processor, quadrupled the memory, and replaced the mother board in my PC. It is operating very well, and I am happy!
