I bought this used, and it looks brand new. But I may send it back, reason being... it gets pretty warm as soon as you turn it on, and also whines a little bit at low speeds, I don't know if it needs a break in period, or if this is normal with this type of drill, but my Milwaukee drills run a lot smoother. IT does drill holes in wood and concrete with no problem, and I got it at a good price, but I am pretty paranoid about its longevity.

Decent tool but it did not come with a chuck key. I have many chuck keys but none fit. It must require a special chuck key that nobody sells. I purchased a multi-sized key and one of the sizes almost fit, but not quite and it was grinding the key and drill. I know this review sounds funny, but true.

a refurb drill for $60 is a good deal. it really seems great so far. Reason I said I didn't like the grip was the handle is so far back from the drill tip, when you drill for long periods of time my hand feels it. So not sure if its the angle or what. seems like they can play around with that handle design, seems very dated. But really its not a big deal. I use this drill for metal products a few times a week. I like it.

My last drill was a Skill brand cheapo drill that lasted me 20 years, but the bushings and motor gave out. This time I decided to try the DeWalt. This drill is fabulous, but is larger and heavier than the cheaper models. The bonus is much more power. I've had it for 6 months and love it!

The drill looks brand new and came with all the accessories. Drill works great and definitely does the job that a regular drill doesn't. Does have plenty of power too. Only down side with this reconditioned unit, is they did not include the box.

A very good and practical hammer drill because of his weight, power and it's easy to handle.

DeWalt DW 511 hammer drill is a great product and a quality item. More power tnen is needed for a general DIY home owner. I know many contractors that agree with the quality of all DeWalt tools.

Excellent drill and power. Great for drilling into stone when using the hammer option. Used the drill for boring 3" holes into pine logs and the drill handled it with ease. Great RPM's for using as a polisher and attaching a wire brush to clean rusted metal. The chuck grabs drill bits and other accesories tightly without slipping. I have never owned a better drill and with Dewalt's reputation I am planning on getting many years of use.
