    SAMSUNG 2.5 500GB SATA drive review.

    This is the third drive I owe. It is highly reliable (the very first one I got was about 15 years ago and it still runs with no problems). I use it as an external drive, with Sabrient SATA-to-USB enclosure. Of course it operates at SATA speed, so it is substantially slower that the modern SSD devices. I use it for storing data and multimedia files and for backup, so speed is not a problem. If you need an external drive for this kind of functionality, I highly recommend it.

    I bought this to play backups on my PS2 based on the PS2 hard drive compatibility list. It was very important that the model was exact - this was my biggest worry. Thankfully, the drive is exactly as described; proper model, etc. It works great!
