    Great heavy duty tire carrier for a great value!

    This tire carrier is a very good value. It is well built and heavy duty. It was easy to install, just make sure you have a torque wrench and size 6 Allen head socket. It is very durable. I did have to tighten the bolts/nuts on the actual hinge itself to stop a rattle. Also, my only complaint is that one of the 85mm round cap carriage bolts has surface rust after a week. This is probably due more to the fact that it stripped a little bit as I was tightening it down, so it messed up the zinc coating some. Now I just have to figure out how to seal it. I do wish that the actual carriage bolts came in black however. I am looking for the correct length bolts to swap them out to, but the length of them is very unique. Cannot find a black 85mm M10 x 1.5 bolt anywhere. This should have no problem ...

    Very happy

    I have yet to drive with this on but so far I’m very happy. High-quality construction and everything fit together perfectly. If you don’t have a stock carrier already you will likely need to buy 8 bolts (M8/1.25/30) in stainless steel. It is a 2 hour job if you don’t encounter snags. For a 35” tire on a 17” rim I placed the mount I hole up from the bottom, and the brake light about 3-4” above the post it mounts to.
