    If you only get one parenting book…

    …this is the one! The Love and Logic concept takes some time to understand completely, but once the system has been absorbed, it’s easy to see how most parenting situations fit right in. Natural consequences are the most effective, keeping the problems with the people who’ve caused them, and demonstrating that the parent is not the enemy but a loving ally who empathizes with the child and wants the best for him or her. This is actually my second purchase because my counselor was so intrigued that I kept bringing up the concepts from the book that I decided to get a copy for her too. She’s already passed on some ideas to other clients. If you haven’t even had kids yet but plan to, it is not too early to get this book!
