Galaga is in my opinion the best game of it's type. That is, the Space Invaders type of game. There's a bit of jargon that describes the genre, but I don't know it. If you do, then you probably don't need to be reading a review of this game. In any event, these kind of games are some of my favorites and this one is chief among them. It's an easy concept that's difficult to master, which makes for hours of entertainment. Galaga is the sequel to Galaxian, a game that you should get for your Atari 2600 if you have one. As another reviewer has already said, it's a very good port of the 'real' arcade version. There are weapon upgrades, many different enemies and plenty of them to kill. It's a game you can play for hours on end. This game is in my top 5 video games, regardless of platform or console. Of course, as I said, I'm biased toward this type of game, but it's really that good. You should give it a shot.Read full review
Very fun game. My grandma used to play it a lot in 80s and 90s, so I got it again for her birthday last week, she loves it! It came in time, works great, and she plays it every night. Thanks!

alaga (ギャラガ Gyaraga?) is a fixed shooter arcade game developed and published by Namco in Japan and published by Midway in North America in 1981. It is the sequel to Galaxian, released in 1979. The gameplay of Galaga puts the player in control of a space ship which is situated on the bottom of the screen. At the beginning of each stage, the area is empty, but over time, enemy aliens fly in formation, and once all of the enemies arrive on screen, they will come down at the player's ship in formations of one or more and may either shoot it or collide with it. During the entire stage, the player may fire upon the enemies, and once all enemies are vanquished, the player moves onto the next stage. This is a fantastic port for the NES.
It was nice to play this game again for the first time in years. It was also nice to see Galaga in Nintendo’s Super Smash Brothers!!
