Love this game....had it when it first came out then sold it when PS3 was released; but was itching to play retro games lately on my 39th Birthday so my brother and sister in law hooked me up with a PS2 and ever since I've been going around on ebay, movie trading company, and gamestop looking for all the great titles that we grew up with.....I loved this game back in the day and love playing it today....loved it so much, use to fall asleep to it with controller in hand in mid battles...If you like naval Tech games you will love this one; plus the combo of designing your own warship from the ground up...
I’ve been fascinated with warships for a while. Finding out about this game on the PS2 a few weeks ago, I bought this on a whim. Don’t regret it at all. The customization is fun and gives a decent variety of weapons, and other gadgets to choose from (and I played on WW2 mode, but there’s some crazy laser **** apparently). Gameplay is compelling and provides a sufficient challenge. The graphics are from 2003 and therefore are great for its time and shouldn’t deter you from enjoying the game. The only downside is the lack of variety (Appearance wise) between guns (i.e all AA guns look the same) regardless of nation. Good game. I even bought the sequel, Warship Gunner 2 just because I liked this one. I’d give the game a 8.5/10

This game offers a change from the usual "run and gun". You engage your enemy on the open sea and pound it out until only one remains. You can design your own ships with very powerful weapons and pit them against the best the enemy has, angle deck carriers with jets taking the fight to them.
Stated game instructions included...was not.
