    Weight adds control

    Great weight, easy comfortable shave, I have the 34c too. The added weight of the 38 doesnt offer as much blade feedback, but adds control. It’s nice to have different razors for the fun of it...its an affordable hobby.

    Merkur 38C Razor -- I Love it!

    I got tired of the price of cartridge blades and decided to try DE blades. I read the reviews and decided that the Merkur fit my needs. I wanted one that wasn't too aggressive, had some heft to it. a longer handle and was well made. This fits all the requirements. Since I'm left-handed, the complaints about the barber pole grooves twisting the "wrong way" didn't apply to me. The razor came with one great quality Merkur blade to get me started. I am glad I got this razor.

    Almost make me look forward to shaving!

    The moment you pick this product up it literally screams quality and few products will do that! Perfect shape , weight and shaving angle. I began using a DE a couple of years ago and found it OK but this is an entirely new experience. Coulnt be happier!

    The perfect Merkur Razor

    Of the Merkur razors I own which include the 23c, 34c, and Progress LH adjustable, the 38c Barbers Pole produces the smoothest most consistent shaves. The Progress, though adjustable, is not always consistent. I have very course hair, am prone to razor bumps and burn and have found this razor to be my daily go to. As for the mildness scale I’d rate the 38c slightly more aggressive than the 34c which is to say you will require very few additional passes.
