Better than same maker's fancier one but at half the price!
I had one of these for years and used it often when legally (with permits) revising the electrical system at the houses we owned (one at a time!) and lived in. Recently I needed one of these tools in a hurry but wasn't sure when or if I'd find the one I'd had. So I went out and I bought a fancier version (plastic handle with a utility knife style blade trapped inside it), same brand, at a local hardware store, and for my purposes at least, the original one, stamped out of a single sheet of metal, was still better. And at half the price of the supposedly "better" one, it was the deal I was looking for. Does The Job Without Costing A Bundle
The Gardner Bender CR-100 4-Inch Romex Cable Ripper is a cost effective way to open up Romex cable. Yes it may take a few tries to get the hang of using it but it sure beats using scissors, side cutting pliers or box cutters, which I have used when I couldn't find my old pair of this cable ripper.

This too is perfect for stripping the sleeve off Romex ... does great on indoor wiring, but outdoor wire has a bit thicker coating on it.
