"The book, in bright visuals and engaging text, offers up information about Dr. King's childhood, his studies, and, of course, his work on behalf of equal rights... The large typeface and varied sentence structure is ideal for emergent readers."  --Booklist "There are very few books about Martin Luther King that are as accessible to younger students as this one, yet it is not too simple." -- Library Media Connection, "The book, in bright visuals and engaging text, offers up information about Dr. King's childhood, his studies, and, of course, his work on behalf of equal rights... The large typeface and varied sentence structure is ideal for emergent readers."  --Booklist

fine item, professional packaging with super-fast shipping. Very well done. RECOMENDED SELLER!!! Would definitely purchase from this seller again. Great selection of merchandise, great communication. Have shopped at their brick and mortar in Frederick for years back in the 1980's and they are consistently still providing high quality merchandise at excellent and fair market prices. Can't complement enough!

This is an outstanding seller to deal with. Fair prices that are more than reasonable in this economy. The product is even better condition than described, a true value for my money. Packaged and shipped well shows seller has concern for the products he sells to arrive in excellent condition. The seller is friendly and communicates timely with his customers. All in all I highly recommend this seller and would do business again anytime. Thank you and be safe. Good luck to the future.

The book provides insights about his family that I never knew, including facts about his interests as a kid in baseball, basketball, football, dancing and riding his bike. As a child not fully understanding why he could no longer play with his (white) best friend. The book reveals that Dr. King was born Michael King, after his father. Later the father changed both his name and the son's name to Martin Luther King (Sr. and Jr.) People know about his famous speeches, and life after he becomes an adult. This book provides a good bit of that background but provides information about this close-knit family, ML, AD, Christine, their mother, father (Daddy King) and grandmother (Mother Dear).
