    Good starting point and great motivation.

    The book is very inspiring and gives you a good workout plan . Instead of just doing random exercises in the gym Bill gives you a workout routine that you can tailor to your abilities . His diet plan is okay but you really can't stick to it for a long time .Its really not practical . I've been on his system for over 3 years and no I don't look like anyone in his book . What I am is in better shape than ever and people tell me how good I look . I think most of the people that are in the book do a lot more weight training than 45 minutes a day and 3 times a week. This is the second copy I purchased because the first copy I loaned out and you know how that goes. My suggestion is to by the book and read it . Use what you can and tailor your workout and diet to your life.

    I just purchased my third copy of Body For Life. I ‘loaned’ the first one that I had purchased in 2000 to a friend, I’ve lost my other copy and I need to read it again. It’s my go to when life gets crazy and health is impacted - Bill Phillips’ 12 week program is everything you need to reset and rebuild your body, boost your confidence and set you firmly on the path to health and vigour. There are lots of bodybuilders offering advice and programs these days, but this one is the original and best, and it’s accessible to just about anyone. It is a great book, and Bill Phillips is a great man with a great heart and soul.

  • Either hire a bodybuilding coach, or buy this book. The book is a screaming deal.

    This book will help you rapidly get in shape, if you follow the directions, and don't cheat too much. The one thing I would change, is I suggest that you do abs every time you work out, not just when you do legs. The thing that finally got my abs in shape was the Planet Fitness 'Ab' room, where they have a series of machines: Life Fitness Ab Precor V-Crunch Cybex Abs LF Torso Rotation LF Ab Crunch Ab-Coaster I do three reps each, on each machine, heavy weights, in between sets as I am doing my regular arm and leg workouts. Just do it!
