    Works great, simple and easy to use

    Please note that this tool is specific to GM cars to the best of my knowledge. It made it very easy to remove my existing power socket as well as removing one from a salvage vehicle to find a replacement trim ring for my car which was really the main reason I purchased it.

    It works after removing some burrs with a file.

    The tool works ( I couldn’t remove the old auxiliary 12v power socket without it). I had to remove some burrs off the edge of the tool to get it to go inside the two square holes though. The lighter socket is a direct replacement for my 2004 Chevy Silverado lighter socket

    Convenient tool

    Tool makes it easier to remove power socket plug without having to remove dash. Use the tool's hook to loosen the metal socket insert, however will still have some difficulty to work the socket insert partially out, and then the surrounding plastic sleeve.
