One of the funnest Star Wars games I never knew about.

This game is a great combo of star wars and more traditional RPG gameplay. The story is fine, some of the quests have you linger around a bit, (which is the traditional RPG maneuvering). However, it's fun, with many choices to choose weapons, armor, health regen, and so forth. You can build a lightsaber for combat and use force powers as well. The copy I have I'm playing on xbox 360 instead of the original xbox. There have been many instances in which the game has really bad frame rate drops during combat or just rotating the camera. The frame rate issue is from the game's programing not the disc,(which is in like new condition). After playing for a while the frame rate clears up noticeably. It's a great game and worth playing.

  • The first KotOR is better, but still a fun game

KotOR 2 is a great game and all, but it's not quite as good as its predeccesor. The graphics are nearly exactly the same as the first, which came out like 5 years ago. Lame. It's almost a requirement these days that game sequels have better graphics. If you enjoyed the first KotOR then you should get it, though the store price is too high. The main thing is that this game is too much like the first. The only 3 really noticable differences are: new story, your alignment and additude affects your allies, and the random items found. In the first game all of the monsters dropped the same things, and the boxes contained the same things. In this game most containers have totally random items in them, allowing you to get the most powerful stuff at the very beginning and also get nothing but ...

  • KOTOR 2 is a great RPG

It's got everything the first one had, and more. You don't have to buy the first game to understand this one, but I recommend that you do. This time you start the game as a jedi known as the Exile. The game does have new elements, like the ability to influence some of your teammates to turn into jedi, but the look is almost exactly the same right down to the menu. That could be good though, for those of you who don't like change. But the look doesn't matter, what does is the gameplay and plot. Luckily they're both perfect. The music is a little weak, but the sound effects are good. Tons of weapons and plenty of side quests make this game a must buy for RPG fans as well as fans of the Star Wars series.

  • Like the movies, played the 1st KotoR? Welcome back!

Unlike the first installment, I'm amazed at how easy it was this time around, save the last Boss battle (which is actually cake once you figure out the weakness). I'm happy to say that the characters are a little more diverse this time. If you read my last review on KotOR, you'd know that I had a problem with the rehashed character models. But that's not to say I didn't run into any of these clones, just less this time. And not to mention I could finally pick a Jedi with a beard! Speaking of easy, I couldn't believe how ridiculously easy the enemies like Dark Jedi, Elite Sith and Bounty Hunters were. And ironically enough, the Boss's were even bigger push overs. Take Darth Nihilus, you know him as that scary masked guy on the box art, well right from the start he's portrayed as this ...

  • Star Wars + RPG = Awesome

Awesome game even all these years later. If you're playing the original xbox version on your 360 you will run into some audio spasms where the high pitched screeches will randomly happen but it's not really that bad. You get used to it. Besides that it's an awesome game. Exactly like the first kotor which isn't a bad thing. If your a Star Wars fan like me you're bound to like it.
