Ninja Gaiden Shadow is decent. You have a grappling hook a la Bionic Commando, which isn't seen anywhere else in the series. But other than that, it's kind of a ho-hum affair. I don't feel the grappling hook mechanic was used in any inventive way and the platforming didn't feel like anything special. It's a fun little romp, but nowhere near the greatness of the NES Gaidens. Graphics and music are reminiscient of Konami titles on the Game Boy, which is definitely a good thing...but man, what else is there to say? Not much challenge until the final boss. Am I disappointed? Well yeah, kinda. Do I regret paying $15 for it? Not at all.
A great Game boy title. Even tho the game is short, it has great graphics, fun stages, cool bosses and the music was made in heaven.

This game contains all the difficulty that is in its consle counterparts. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is solid, and the fun factor is 10/10. I would recommend this game to fans of Ninja Gaiden and anyone looking for a challenge. Ninja Gaiden Shadow belongs in everyone's Gameboy collection.
It´s a great game, sadly it not belongs to the chronology, due is a make up of the game shadow of the ninja, but is addictive as well.
