Turned out to be $103 decoder rather than economy.
Comes with almost no instruction. Can be plugged in upside down and backwords. Refers you to a web site where the guy is seen more in the video than what his hands are doing. No closeups and he goes thru it very fast as if any idiot could do it. Then you find out you have to buy a pig tail to make it work and pay more shipping.

Nice little time and solder saver!
Works perfectly for locos like Athearn, some Walthers, and others that use the 9 pin JST connector. Each part can only be plugged in one way, I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about. You only need the other pigtail if you are installing into a non DCC-ready loco. There are other products better suited for that instance. Would definitely recommend!

Very useful
For those with a DCC ready locomotive where you want to use a 21 pin removable decoder, but your locomotive only has an eight pin socket or a 9 pin JST connector, this works great. The product comes with an instruction sheet that shows were to solder in speakers, current keeper or other lights. I like using Soundtraxx Economi decoders and they do not make an Economi decoder that connects with a 9 pin JST-they only make them for Tsunami and 70 dollars is a lot more palatable than 100.00 plus.
