    Effective but cumbersome

    The shaver is smooth and effective. The one major drawback is that the trimmer is separate from the shaver so that it has to be inserted and secured for the sideburns and then taken out and replaced for the next shave. My previous shaver (norelco) had both components combined into one unit and did not require this activity.

    FOUR STARS ONLY FOR REASON

    Normally, I would give this shaver five stars but I think Norelco made a big mistake by not including the pop-up trimmer. The beard trimmer is useless for trying to trim your sideburns. I don't wear a beard and have no idea how well the trimmer works for that purpose. Otherwise, for it being an electric razor it is very good. Nothing will be as good as shaving with a blade but I am very glad I invested in this. I have been using Norelco shavers for years for just a general shave. One thing that I had to sort of get used to is the heads are further apart than the old traditional Norelco's. I highly recommend it.

    Great shaver

    I like rotary shavers better than other types. I feel they shave closer and are more comfortable. This Norelco 9800 is a very good shaver. I have used Norelco for more than 30 years.

    Shaver worth the money.

    I would recommend this shaver. The shaver cuts clean and close with minimum effort. What I really like is you get multiple shaves per battery charge. The shaver is of good built quality. And wants you feel the shave is not as close as before you can purchase new heads.
