The Fab Four take center stage once more in this exclusive Rock Band spin-off. More than a compilation of songs from the Beatles, the game re-creates the band's historic concerts, signature instruments, and changing appearances over the span of a 12-album career. Digital versions of John, Paul, George, and Ringo will not only perform at authentic venues, but also within dreamlike environments inspired by some of the band's more colorful songs. <br><br>As with previous entries in the Rock Band franchise, the game involves playing songs by following onscreen cues with one of four peripherals: a microphone, lead guitar, bass guitar, and drums. Vocals now offer three playable parts, a first for the series, including one lead and two harmonies. A built-in vocal trainer will help you get accustomed to singing each melody, as you are able to freely switch between all three parts with a press of a button. Three microphones are required to harmonize with your friends.<br><br>Featured on the disc are 45 tracks, including "Back in the U.S.S.R.," "Here Comes the Sun," "I Feel Fine," "Taxman," "Octopus' Garden," "Get Back," "Day Tripper," "I Saw Her Standing There," "I Am the Walrus," and "I Want to Hold Your Hand." Downloadable content is also supported to expand the initial track list, with 1969's Abbey Road the first album scheduled for online distribution. <br><br>The limited edition version of The Beatles: Rock Band contains wireless music peripherals patterned after the band's distinctive instruments. Included along with the game are the following two replicas: Paul McCartney's Höfner bass and Ringo Starr's drums. The latter, which will only be available in this edition, features a black oyster pearl finish and a kick drum head with the Beatles' logo. Also included are a microphone, microphone stand, and supplemental content. Both John Lennon's Rickenbacker 325 guitar and George Harrison's Gretsch Duo Jet guitar can be purchased separately to complete the band's signature look.

    Hardware & Software Review

    Being a long time RB fan as well as growing up with the Beatles - had to have the new kit. Here are our thoughts after playing the whole game - only took about 2 hours with all of us playing on Expert. I&apos;m mainly hoping to help anyone trying to decide if it&apos;s worth coughing up the cash for the new instruments. DRUM KIT (WIRELESS) If you have a Rock Band 2 drum kit already - don&apos;t bother with this one. If you are still using a wired set or none at all, then this is definitely a cool addition/upgrade. The only complaint I have is that the pads are much harder and LOUDER than previous kits - I had to stop after the first set and go get some silencer pads. I highly suggest this accessory, especially if you hit your drums a little hard like I do. One nice feature is the ...

    Excellent Kit

    I Love: The game, the beautiful cordless Hofner Bass, the cordless Beatles Ludwig drum set with a yellow submarine style drum pedal, the long cord mic, and mic stand. Now I need to find a drummer seat and a guitar stand. I can&apos;t wait to have my friends over for a full band experience. I wish PS3 would lower the price of the additional downloadable albums by at least 50%. I would also like the John Lennon: Imagine album to play with since he&apos;s my favorite Beatle. &quot;Love Is The Answer&quot;

    Excellent Game

    Who has never pretended to be The Beatles? This game gets you pretty close with all the instruments and video. It also has allowed me to re-introduce to my children, as well as their friends, to the Greatest Band of All Time. It also has tremendous replay value. I&apos;ve owned this game for several months and I still play it regularly. My only negative is I wish it had all The Beatles songs. Even with the Downloadable songs, it isn&apos;t enough. Great game!

    Beatles Lover's Dream

    I&apos;ll never get tired of the Beatles and Rock Band just makes their music that much more exciting. If you&apos;ve never played an instrument before, this is a great way to learn. If you&apos;re like me and have been playing for years, it&apos;s just a fun way to practice and keep up your moves. Either way, from novice to expert this game offers fun for all.

    Very Cool

    This was a gift for my 15 year old nephew who thinks the Beatles are the greastest rock band ever. Hmmm...wonder where he got that idea? I&apos;ve been singing Beatles songs to him since he was a baby. Anyway, WE love it. However, what a drag it is that the controllers will not work with Guitar Hero. That&apos;s just ridiculous to have to go out and buy different guitars, and who has room for all that stuff?
