Super Cheap
I bought this for the aquaponics feature, when it arrived, I opened the box and pulled out a super cheap plastic cylinder and an even cheaper plant receptacle. Not worth what I paid. With a little imagination my kid could have made the same thing in crafts. I would have never expected Penn Plax to make something of such low quality.

Not alot of room for my betta. Had to remove plant for space and eventually lid to give more air after 1st fish died within days of use. So just now a regular vase. Not happy

Not sufficient for fish or plant life
The only fish this product would fit comfortably, is a betta fish, and given that betta produce such menial amounts of waste, the plant wouldn't get enough nutrients, and would most likely die. Not to mention, betta need a heater, which you can't use with this product. It's a lose lose either way. Plant will end up dieing of "hunger, " and betta will die from lack of filtration, and cold. In the wild, where plants and animals form an ecosystem, this whole "waste feeds plants, plants clean water" speel is relevant.
