  • This book exhibits the genius George Carlin delivered in his live performances. It's a must for a Carlin fan.

George Carlin might be called the comedian of common sense, a disappearing element in our lives. This book, a compilation of three of his books, is a gem. His comments on America are right on and to the point. I try to read a few pages of this book every day to remind myself to laugh at the absurdities surrounding all of us. His eye for observation has not been matched by any comedian since his death. Often, he reminds me of the great American autobiographical novelist, Henry Miller. With the presidential election coming up, one can't help but think of this quote from the book: "I put a dollar in the change machine. Nothing changed."
