The buyer stated a day ago an issue with the laptop booting. We instructed him to test the drive and if it failed for some reason we would replace it. Fast forward to today, negative feedback was left before communicating anything to us. The buyer stated another issue (a noisy fan, batt). Units were tested before they shipped but we took his word for it. The buyer agreed to change feedback if we refunded a portion to cover new parts. Quicksilver issued a partial refund and the feedback remains.

When SSD drives first came out, many of us heard about how fast they are, how light weight, and what amazing performance they could add to a computer. But many have waited, as with any new technology, the price was a little high compared to older hard drive/storage technology and we wanted to be certain they were reliable. Well, the TIME IS NOW to "go SSD drive" if you haven't already. The prices are very reasonable now, and you now have the stalwart of the storage industry, "Western Digital" (WD Blue) making, and backing these drives up with their name, their reputation, and history of making quality products. An SSD in my mind, is the single greatest and simplest thing you can do, to take an older model computer, and HOT ROD IT to run like you just put a new turbo engine under the ... Go WD Blue SSD and you can't go wrong IMO. I'm going to buy another and have already told several other people- that I highly recommend they upgrade their machines now to a SSD drive. I told them, "Once you experience the speed improvement and the quiet and the cool running technology, you'll never be able to go back, it's that good". Like I remember watching my first DVD movie, then trying to watch an old, grainy VHS tape afterword- you knew a DVD changed things forever. SSD drives and WD Blue are the future now. Go for it !!

Cloned this drive from a 160gb WD hard drive and after booting it about doubled the speed of opening files. It produces about half the heat of the hard drive. One nice thing, since it is WD you can download excellent cloning software from their website that is free to WD owners..... Used it over a month now and no problems at all. Great update for my two year old dell laptop.

Installation of Win7pro x64 was fast and flawless via usb on my old 2009 Dell 1545 laptop. Had to use a spacer, but no problem :). Also has an upgraded LED display, Intel core2 duo P8700 processor, and 8gb ddr2 ram. Performs like a newer laptop. I'm happy :).

It's my first SSD and have run this computer for several months with a conventional platter drive and so I can tell the difference for sure, it is noticeably faster. How long or how well it holds up remains to be seen but I have confidence in Western Digital and I have used number of their media devices and am pretty sure it will serve me well.
