The quality and fit are typically YETI - in other words, really good. HOWEVER, even this 'fix' doesn't make the YETI Bottle a real thermos. It still doesn't keep coffee as hot as long as a considerably less expensive stainless steel competitor - and the competitor (brand begins with 'S') also has a side handle which makes pouring a whole lot easier. Best of all, the competition sells for about the same price as the YETI cap alone...! I guess if you want to be cool (no pun) you'll buy the YETI anyway, but there are better and less expensive alternatives than the bottle, even with this 'fix'. While the other drinking products I've purchased, notably the 14 oz mug and 20 oz tumbler work quite well, IMHO this one does not measure up.
