    A quiet self starting aquarium filter

    This Marina slim S10 filter is quite a well designed aquarium product. The filter body is quite thin and its pump is very quiet. Also, the filter has a self priming feature which enables it to draw water from the tank to generate a water flow on its own. This is a good feature to have on an aquarium filter, in case a power outage were to occur while you're on vacation. Last but not least, the Marina S10 filter puts out a gentle flow which is good for bettas as they prefer a calm water surface in the aquarium. The Marina S10 has 3 thin slots designated for filtration media. It is advisable to use an AquaClear flter insert foam (size 20), AquaClear Biomax (size 20) and Seachem Purigen (100 ml), in place of the filtration media that comes with the unit.     Move on to other brand

    You’re going to go thru a lot of filter that are expensive. Not worth the money. The pre filter that comes with it is really harsh for fish with large/long fins like bettas or guppy fish. It will rip them apart.
