About this product

Product Information

Set in 1887 England, the queen is going to hold the Golden Jubilee in two days. There will be special services at Westminster Abbey and a royal procession through the streets of London. However, the Crown Jewels have been stolen from the Tower of London and must be recovered within 48 hours. If they are not the theft will be exposed causing the government to fall into international disgrace.

Players take control of Doctor Watson, good friend of Sherlock Holmes. The two of you will attempt to find the Crown Jewels as Scotland Yard has failed to get anywhere in the case. Sherlock: The Riddle of the Crown Jewels contains a black background and is completely in white text. By typing in commands players maneuver around London, search for clues, and talk to other characters. Clues can also be found by reading the newspaper that is included with the game. There is also a map included so that you always know what direction to move in. If completely stuck, players can type "HINT" in order to get help.
