It features a sleek, streamlined design and retains the necessary specifications of the first version without any sacrifices in performance. The Sony PS3 Slim model is an effective and reliable entertainment device that will bring any living room to vibrant life. The Sony PlayStation 3 Slim model is equipped with a 45 nm Cell 3.2 GHz processor built by the STI partnership and an RSX "Reality Synthesizer" 550 MHz graphics processing unit (GPU) by NVIDIA. These components work in tandem with 256 MB GDDR3 video and 256 MB XDR DRAM memory systems. The spacious Toshiba hard drive provides 120GB, allowing gamers to indulge in an expansive amount of local storage. The console sports an HDMI port that can render 1080p displays for high-definition games as well. With a Blu-ray Disc and DVD player included in the system, the model also allows for high-definition playback of movies. This is complemented by Dolby 5.1 ch audio that can sustain an immersive surround-sound experience when playing games and Blu-ray discs. Additional hardware components of the Sony PS3 include an Ethernet and Wi-Fi module for online connectivity. Gamers can play online through the PlayStation Network (PSN) and download more accessories or stream Netflix content. A built-in web browser enables online search functions through Google and other providers as well. The PlayStation system provides two USB ports for controller access and other peripheral devices. As the Sony PS3 Slim has been designed with efficiency in mind, its power supply and consumption is low. It consumes under 100 W when running games and only 1 W when in standby mode. This represents a massive improvement in efficiency. Furthermore, the cooling system is so quiet that gamers may be left wondering if the fans are even running.

    Console is great. Controller a little iff.

    Main console is great. Came with all the cords and I would need including a hdmi cable. I am having trouble with the controller though. For some reason L1 or L2 or both will trigger without my finger on the bumper/trigger. At first keeping the controller plugged in through the charging cable helped decrease how often this would happen but it still happens. All in all great product though and arrived in excellent condition.

    A Wonderful Christmas Gift

    The PS3 was in great condition. The controller was stuck but the cost of a new one was minimal. My grandson loved it! He and his cousins had a fabulous time together.
