Great echo mic good sound and loud
This is a great quality mic has the trb x3 echo board built and talk back control in it is clear and loud the only problem with it it is narrow in bandwidth the freq response is limited bur good enough for the average cb person don't hesitate in buying it . I`m an audiophile and build custom radios that have studio sound capability. But for every one else it is a great mic. I recommend it over a stock mic by far and a road devil or any other astatic mic they are all way to high pitch3d sounding and not warm at all annoying to my ear and most ears out there on the planet for a warmer fatter sound. also you must modify the turn knobs with a small piece of rubber in them because they turn real easy I always mod all the ones I get for my customers. Nice little power/effect mic
If you want effects but don’t want to add mods to your cb/ham? This is the ticket... just the newest model from the RF limited line (prob the best echo mics in my opinion) Has a small delay when keyed and easy to bump buttons. The button problem is easily solved with number 8 o-rings. Just remove the Phillips head screw that holds the dials and install the o-ring. Snug it up and your golden.-YouTube for vid made by bootymonster Will take a little time dialing in with dyna-mic/ talkback etc. that’s the fun part.. I guess I’ll post this Stuff that helped me. Info I’ve gathered from Walcott radio Amplified mics with batteries powers the microphone element and makes your voice even louder. If you're going to use an amplified mic, you will need to spend some time getting both the gain on the microphone itself, and the Mic Gain on your CB set properly where you are loud, but clear. Many sound effects will occur with the Echo Delay set between 1-2, make slight adjustments below the #2 mark for a wide range of effects. Best hand held microphone period!
I have tried pretty much every CB microphone out there and I can honestly say that the Xtreme 2018 beats them all! Absolutely massive modulation, awesome adjustable echo and can even allow your radio to have talk back if not already equipped. I know it's pricey, but it's worth every penny. The very old school D-104 power microphones were great, however the new ones are complete junk. Don't waste your money on a D-104 like I did, just buy a 2018 and call it good!I have tried pretty much every CB microphone out there and I can honestly say that the Xtreme 2018 beats them all!
