A very difficult system to set up
Amcrest has a newer model out that replaced this one. I was able to find this with a hard drive installed. The product comes without a hard drive. Easy install. The problem is the set up and all the other downloads of additional software. If you are technically inclined then it is for you. It is built to do a lot of controlling and recording of the Amcrest cameras. I have wireless cameras. I should of got a wireless DVR OR NVR. If you are not technically inclined. Make sure you get a security system not so difficult to set up. Had to do a lot of extra things and install software to get this system operational as it is designed to do. The Amcrest NV4108 1080p NVR setup easily. It recognized my three Wi-Fi cameras (1 Amcrest IP2M-841B & 2 Smarthome 75790) right off. Things started going downhill although most difficulties can be blamed (strangely enough) on the Amcrest camera. The NV4108 menu structure is somewhat confusing. Haven't really mastered it, yet. Still in the learning stage, but it is a keeper.
