I like my new lens but it's weight makes it harder to hand hold, also some times it takes way too long to focus and other times it won't at all. Also on auto focus when pressing in the shutter image does not always brighten up so I can see composition more clearly. It's still new to me and I may overcome these difficulties but until I do I'm keeping my Sigma 18-250. A fine lens!!!

This is a do everything lens. With all zoom lenses there are technical trade-offs over a prime lens. As I am not a professional photographer, these are things that are negligible for me. It takes wonderful photos, the AF is fast and quiet, and it is very easy to use.

Love the focal length of the lens but a bit disappointed with the smoothness of the focus and telephoto adjustment rings.

Terrific lens. Great shots at both ends of the focal length. One lens for 90% of my needs.

More proficient photographers than I will likely Pooh Pooh the technical elements of this lens but for a middle level amateur like myself this lens offers tremendous flexibility and better than average shots. I have been happy with shots all the way to 400mm; besides, after processing cleans up most issues that require it. I love the ability to carry one lens for times when I’m least expecting to need my camera.
