About this product

Product Information

Sega's action-oriented fishing series is lured from the arcades and Dreamcast onto Wii with motion-sensing controls simulating both casting and reeling. As in previous iterations, Sega Bass Fishing focuses on catching the "big ones" as quickly as possible instead of waiting patiently on a boat for a nibble or two. Four play modes include Arcade, Tournament, Practice, and Nature Trip. The latter is a Wii exclusive, allowing players to enjoy the thrills and spills of competitive fishing without worrying about time limits or achieving specific objectives. A total of 15 venues are available, seven of which are new to the Wii version. Players will be able to choose from 20 lures to land four types of bass: Florida Large Mouth, Red Eye, Small Mouth, and Northern Spike Large Mouth. Adjustable options include season, time of day, and weather.

    a good fishing game

I like the game but the line breaks too often on bigger fish. To quit reeling and lower the rod does not work on big fish; you need to be able to lessen the drag on the reel. Other than that a good game.

  • Sega bass fishing

As I read on many online reviews, of this game, it has not changed from the early versions which is was why I bought it. It offers enough challange, but is easy enough for all ages to play and not get frustrated from not being able to catch and land a fish. The only thing I do not like, compared to earlier versions I have played on other systems, is you can no longer move around freely at the various fishing holes. You are fixed in one spot, able to move left and right but not all over to different spots on the lake. I can easily get over that though since all the fish are now right around your location and you get more time to fish rather than drive the boat, especially beneficial in tournament mode. I have not played any other fishing games but this one suits my gaming needs adequately. ...

  • Good Fun, but slow action

This game is fun to play. I was introduced to it over at a friend's house and decided to purchase because of the cheap price (average @$20). I can tell you it is much more fun after a few beers, but still offers some entertainment value without. My 15 year old son loves the game and has played for a combined 10+ hours in only a few days, making the game well worth the price in my book. I have enjoyed it for several myself. Cons: The downside is the action is a bit weak. The game is too predictable on how to land the fish and too random on when they are lost. It can get frustrating at times, especially when you do exactly as the game says and still manage to lose the fish from some random act. Only one person can play at a time. All in all though - a good purchase for the price providing ...

  • Too Much Fun!

My husband bought my Wii for me for Christmas. He isnt into video games, but knows that I like them. The first night that I had it set up, he played this fishing game from 5:30 pm to 6:00 am the next morning. He only stopped to take bathroom breaks! He LOVES this game. He is a bass fisherman in real life and he said that the lures are pretty much spot on of what they really do. I gave it the rating of 'Good' because you cant drive the boat, it is only a one player game and there isnt an option of a female fisherman. Other than that, it is a blast to play!

  • game not to expensive. Worth the fun I get out of the game.

I bought this game for my grandson, and then turned around and bought one for myself. Although I couldn't do everything I would have liked to do in this game, I found it to be enjoyable. My grandson tries to beat me. We both enjoy the game. I would rather to be able to take my boat where I want, but since you can see all the fish around you, I guess it's no need. Have to learn which lures to use to catch the fish. I love to fish, but don't bass fish, unless one accidentally gets on my rod in real fishing life.
