    Nicer than an open pile - even on the farm

    It is well constructed, easy to fill. I have added small sticks and dry grass and weeds. It will work better when we have dry cornstalks and leaves in the fall. I wanted it mostly for our kitchen scraps. Potato and carrot peelings, coffee grounds, etc. so it's harder to get the 3:1 ratio of brown/green. We'll also have dry hay to add. That will help. My husband thought he should add water. :( That made it too wet and messy when I tried to spin it. But it is working!

    Simple but efficient compost tumbler!

    We have two early generation compost tumblers from EnviroCycle that have been very reliable for over 10 years. One has started to deteriorate from the sun in Colorado and the plastic latch has “burned” down from the UV light. I was going to by the newer generation tumbler, but stumbled over this HotFrog tumbler that was in sale. It looked very sturdy and had a simpler tumbling design that the EnviroCycle. I bought it and was surprised at the design and function. We have had it running for two weeks and it fills and tumbles much easier. The compost looks more evenly distributed in the drum. We’ll have to see how it performs over the next two months, but I feel it will be superior to the other tumblers we have.

    Rolling Compost Bin

    Hi, I have had the 2 compost bins for a month or so & I am enjoying both of them. I will say the rolling part is a bit difficult without handles. The resin composition is excellent 👌 Very sturdy & durable. I will wait a few more months to give a more comprehensive view. TY

    Sturdy and easy to manage.

    We have two now; one to finish composting while we add to the other. Easy to open and close. No metal parts to break or rust. Did a lot of homework and this style seems the best. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Functions as advertised. Highly recommend.
