Classic arcade style shooter by Kempco, Super Scope, a lot of fun!!!
This is another gem from the land of ago that I was more than willing to rebuy nearly two decades from its original release (yikes, I am getting old). This game was one of those games for the Super Scope that you could detatch the scope and you could hold down the cursor button on the handle which put a cursor on the screen (as long as you held it down). This allowed you to shoot from the hip rather than rest the bazooka on your shoulder, and is an early version perhaps of the technology used of basicaly every Wii game, especially the shooters. May have been an early inspiration for that system. Although the scope games are great, this was a nice change. The game is basically like you're in a helicopter leaning out a bay door with an aerial view of the ground, in which different ... The game is basically like you're in a helicopter leaning out a bay door with an aerial view of the ground, in which different anti aircraft and missiles and other projectiles are shot at you. You must intercept the projectiles and kill all the stuff coming at you and if I remember correctly you even have a limited number of your own missiles and bombs you can shoot too. Every level had a boss, which usually ended up being some gigantic machine. I've become aware that a lot of games were ported over from their arcade version, like TMNT IV: Turtles in Time and Super Smash TV. Well I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't doubt that's the case with this game as well. Definitely has a very classic shooter arcade feel to it, which is pretty great. If you can get around the fact that the Super Scope absolutely drains batteries faster than you can say double A, and willing to brace yourself for buying a huge pack of them, then you're in for a treat. Although today, with the advent of Lithium rechargeable batteries, that shouldn't be much a hinderence. I personally could play this game for a very long time. The later levels do become more challenging, especially the bosses. The only reason I gave this game one star short of a perfect rating is simply because of length. It's a little short I felt. Once you beat the game you're thinking, oh that it... not fair, I want more! BUT it's still worth your time and a lot of fun. I still remember the day we got this game with fond memories. It's even stuck in my head so much I remember what we had for lunch that day, ham and cheese sandwiches on fresh buns from our local bakery at the time. Yes, it's like...remembering where you were or what you were doing when Kennedy got shot, or when man landed on the moon. Okay, maybe not exactly like that, but you catch my drift. For whatever reason this game had an impact on me. (I do however, and I'm not joking, regard the release of this game more monumental then man landing on the moon, perhaps the fact that we beat the Russians in releasing a game like this should be hailed as the better race to have won, retro gaming cartridge wise). Okay, I'm getting a little off topic, but seriously, good game, classic arcade style shooter, good graphics for the time, recommend it much, just a little short.

Pretty fun, but not a real stroy to it
This game is pretty fun all the way through. But it is almost the same things over and over with small twist to them. The controls are easy to use. Also the gameplay is pretty fun for a SNES war type game. Graphics are true SNES graphics.

X Zone is a really cool and fun game for the Super NES. You will need a Super Scope gun to play the game, as this is basically a first-person shooter. X Zone is about a malfunctioning computer that is launching a bomb and has sent robots to protect it. You have to blast your way through these robots and destroy the computer to save humanity. It's a really cool sci-fi and futuristic first person shooter, where you only control the shooting and the moving is controlled automatically. The game is somewhat short, but is very fast and bright.
