Notes
Orgy's debut album CANDYASS lays it all out; their irreverence for norms and their now signature sound. The industrial rock album was a mainstream success, despite their abrasive approach. The band bring their weaponry to New Order's "Blue Monday" and the blistering cover is indicative of their overall approach. This product is an authorized manufactured on demand CD-R

Orgy's finest release yet. These glam/goth rockers mix just enough rock with a dose of techno programming and add it all together with Jay Gordon's hypnotic, original vocals to come up with an album that you'll want to play over and over. Their take on "Blue Monday" was by far the most well known Orgy song on this album, but "Stitches" also made its presence known. I've found that each song is pretty good - some make you want to dance, some make you want to most, and some you just want to sit back and groove to. I love taking this album on trips because it is great driving music. My favorite part about this CD is Jay Gordon himself. The man is smokin' hot and knows how to add a ton of personality to each track to keep them interesting. ...

  • I keep this one in my car CD changer at all times

I'm not very into Industrial music, but this CD is awesome! This CD came out in 1998 when I was in High School, and at that time the song "Blue Monday" was pretty popular on MTV. I happen to personally love song #2, "Stitches"...I can't get enough of that song. I keep the CD in my car CD changer because I like to listen to it every morning on the way to work. I hit play as soon as I hit the Interstate on-ramp, and then I just put the pedal to the floor as the song progresses and it just wakes me up and gets my energy flowing. Some of the songs seem a little "Emo" and "whiny", so just be prepared to completely skip over a few songs on the CD. If you are looking for a CD with high-energy Rock, then this is a good one, especially if you can ...

  • Candyass Album by Orgy

This 12 track CD is packed with meaningful lyrics, amazing effects, and awesome song composition. It is a very interesting musical style as well. The first time I listened to the album the songs did not seem to flow together and the verses and chorus' seemed to be chopped and placed at random into a song. However, the second and third times I listened to the album the individual verses, songs, and chorus' had an interesting and captivating feel about them. I soon found myself singing the songs in my head and realizing that there was real skill and talent POURED into every second of this album. It takes some time to get over the "minor" sounds of lead singer Josh Abraham's voice and the "multi-faceted" song directions, but trust me, this is a great CD. ...

  • Carving the path

Orgy's first album was clearly a unique and brilliant work of musical art. Influenced by the 80's, taking only the good points, and adding in their own hard flare of the 90's rock and late industrial scene, Orgy churned out what I believe to be one of the most unique records of that time. Every track draws on a unique blend of electronica and guitars, using vocals as much as an instrument as a means of communicating. An all too amazing record and a must-buy for any nineties rocker.
