"Whiskey Tango Ghosts" is her first record since "Beautysleep" appeared at the beginning of 2002, & it's an intimate collection whose stripped down arrangements show Tanya's voice off to wonderful effect - the songs are united by a candid & quietly beautiful simplicity. All the songs on "Whiskey Tango Ghosts" were written by Tanya Donelly, with occasional assistance from Dean Fisher. The musicians are Dean Fisher (guitars, bass, drums, percussion), Elizabeth Steen (piano, wurlitzer, vocals), Rich Gilbert (pedal steel, Nashville guitar), plus ex-Throwing Muses bandmate Dave Narcizo, who plays drums on a couple of tracks.
