It Makes a near perfect bug out radio
It’s a Awesome radio. One one thing They don’t mention on the box is it also has a external antenna Jack connection for FM reception. Normally in my area I can get 16 FM stations with the rod antenna. And I live near the second largest City in Georgia. You don’t actually have to connect an an actual antenna to the jack. Just a standard audio patch cord with a 1/4 inch Connector will do. With a external antenna I get an additional 10 stations. I use this radio as my primary bug out radio. The longer you make that external antenna the more stations you will pick up. It also has a direct entry mode if you wish to try accessing a Pacific station. Simply press the enter button at the button right, enter your station frequency manually, and press the enter button a second time. I carry mine in a ... It’s a Awesome radio. This is my second Coby CX-789 radio I have purchased. The first one lasted 15 years and functioned very well until the sound adjustment started having issues. It is a no frills radio but it works very well.
