A great bookend to a great career...
This is a good book end to Frank Thorne's long career as an independent American fantasy artist, who created characters like Red Sonja, Ghita of Alizarr and Lann. We lost him and Richard Corben way too soon. It also provides lots of interviews about his creative process with each character and introduced me to some of his characters that I didn't really know much about, like in Ribbit and The Crystal Ballroom, while also going into his controversy with The Iron Devil and what exists of the Sprite trilogy that we never got to see before Thorne's passing. I heartily recommend this text by the ol' wizard for anyone interested in American adult fantasy art.
