  • One of the Two Best Writing Books Out There

There are as many books on writing as one can imagine, most of them useless, in my opinion. (What I don't want is a rambling pep talk. I want nuts-and-bolts how-to-do-it information.) The two towering exceptions are Viki King's movie book and James Frey's "How to Write a Damn Good Novel II." (Don't bother with the first volume.) Don't make the mistake of passing on this book if you're writing something OTHER THAN a screenplay. The content is relevant and highly valuable to any narrative writing. These two books contain clearly laid-out approaches to solid writing with well-supported ideas and principles. Great stuff. Really, with these two books, you have only yourself to blame for not finally blasting out your masterpiece.
