Very Challenging Action Game
If it's challenge you enjoy when playing an action PC game this one should readily satisfy your desire. Very thematic setting in the cold and winter of New York City, with very good graphics and music to set the tone and mood. Enjoy playing both a cold-blooded killer and the cops who are out to solve this horrific crime. There are a great many decisions to be made when either escaping the grasp of the law, or solving the crime itself, and each decision can change how the game will be played. You can play this one 3 or 4 times and each time it will play differently based on your decisions and choices as you go along. A lot of fast action sequences that will challenge your concentration, dexterity, and skills that sometimes require you use both the keyboard and mouse to accomplish and ... One of the best
Indigo Prophecy (e.g. Fahrenheit) is easily the best adventure game to come out since Syberia II. I'd go so far to say it's easily the most innovative adventure game in the last half decade (Beyond Good and Evil was pretty interesting in its own right and Mass Effect and/or The Witcher have the most similar consequential conversational/action-event systems), though the dearth of games within the genre may have something to do with that. Playing the game is like being involved with an interactive movie -- it's immersive, action-packed, and yet somehow retains the primal nature of the adventure game genre. Indigo Prophecy packs a wallop of a story, hair trigger action sequences, and time-dependent events that require fast thinking. It's really the last part that separates the game from the ... It's really the last part that separates the game from the rest of the crowd -- you don't just try try try again until that singular item works. Instead, you do things (such as hide evidence or discover evidence of a crime) that have later repercussions on how events play out -- it's a phenomenal direction to take the genre, making the game feel more like a choose your own adventure story than a statically-linear, or devoid-of-life world. The plot is well paced and the action sequences keep the player on his/her toes. It's truly amazing how well the game draws you into the world. Indigo Prophecy is significantly funner to play on a console, though this is mostly due to the annoying climbing sequences that require timed twirling motions (e.g. up, up+left, left, left+down ...) that don't execute all that well with a keyboard and mouse. Similarly, there are a few puzzles that are more obnoxious than interesting (e.g. pacing your breathing while walking). Furthermore, graphically speaking, the game looked outdated when it came out and doesn't look like a game that's going to age (graphically speaking) particularly well. In particular, the outdoor sequences will often have you cringing, mostly due to texture clipping and some bad ingame camera-work. The facial textures aren't all that appealing either, though it's definitely not as cringe-tastic as some games (e.g. Morrowind in particular comes to mind). However, at the end of the day the excellent story, innovative presentation, dynamic characters, superb voice acting, and fast-paced sequences combine together to provide an evocative game that's flat-out fun to play. And that's really all that counts in this genre. Don't miss this gem.

Indigo Prophecy Review!!!
The games ideas and gameplay are very intresting. They gave me a diffrent look at games and howthey can be played!!! The gameplay was kinda slow but by no means made the game less better!!! It was worth every pennie and i would buy it again if I had to. I bought this game cause the producers of this game have another one coming out called HEAVY RAIN. This game also caught my eye, so i figured i would try some of thier old products and it was the right move. I give it a 9 out of 10!!! 2 thumbs UP.The games ideas and gameplay are very intresting. This game was a pain in my @$$ to install but after i found this i got it working game has been fun so far just started playing it tho. Only one problem as I see it.
The only problem is that the game is hard to play on a laptop without a number pad or USB video game controller. The graphics are pretty good for the year it was made, and the story and concept are a good kind of ridiculous. Or ridiculously good. Whatever. I'm looking for a controller so I can play more.
