Bought it mostly for its good looks and sound quality. It has many nice features but also has some drawbacks: difficult to program time, stations, and alarm features -- too many functions packed into one or two buttons that are not intuitive; volume increases jump too far -- from soft to too loud and nothing in between; difficult to tell the time from any angle except directly in front; iPhone docking feature takes over radio immediately upon docking and starts playing -- might be convenient, but not always when you just want to go to bed while phone gets charged, also if alarm is set to wake to radio while iPhone is docked, it defaults to iPhone, and even when you remove the iPhone the radio still thinks it is docked and you have to force it to go to tuner or alarm. Sounds and quality are awesome, but...
This alarm clock is the best sounding one I ever had. Sound is like if you had a big sound system. Very high quality build and look. But the dimmer control is not well made. If you turn off the display for better sleeping, and you wish to use the sleep function, after the sound turns off the display will get back to the highest brightness and you will think time to wake up. Same thing if you have a power outage during the night, as soon as the power come back, the display brightness will get back to high. This is a real problem and is why I do not use the sleep function anymore. I think this is why you can find refurbished models for cheap but be aware of this problem.
