The only downside I have experienced to date is when switching Bluetooth on/off, the musical tone notification from the amp can be startling - recommend keeping the speaker volume low when doing this. Upsides: Passive Bluetooth allowing me to send music in, headphone jack for wired headphones, multiple RCA ports for additional components, compact size and every bit as good as my early 1970's Marantz 2270 (RIP).
