    This adapter fit perfectly in my 1/2" hammer drill, and was very affordable and shipped very fast. I decided to try and use it with a 4" diameter, 3ft long auger to make a post hole. It worked great until it was too much for the drill and burned it up. I know it was not exactly meant for that, so I took the adapter and welded it to a chisel bit from my Rotary SDS hammer drill that I cut the tip off. It looks like it will do the trick at auguring holes in the dirt now. Great seller, A+!

    Ice fishing in Wisconsin

    Always looking for an easier way to ice fishing. Was at a tournament a couple weeks ago and stumbled across a person making his holes with an attachment for his cordless drill. I asked him how to make one for myself. He replied that he bought it and gave me Web info and away I went surfing for what suited my style of ice fishing. Product is awesome, it allows me to put in as many holes as I want with little effort. Especially since I don't have use of my left shoulder do to an injury. Love product and this is why I give it a "5" rating.

    It's ok - you can make it work

    The flattened 1/2" chuck design holds well in the drill, no slippage. The auger side needs work. The bolt hole is a 3/16" - not the easiest size to find. I am using a #10. 1/4" hole would be more robust but the shaft that goes into the auger c/should be beefed up some. My auger has a 7/8" shaft, so I used electrical tape to build up the shaft like a bushing.

    great gointg to be used in our You Tube video on ice spear fishing.

    Bought 2 now and work on most augers, had to drill out one of the Juffy hand augers, but that's not the Maufactuer. of bit's problem.

    6" Auger bit

    This auger adapter didn't work with my 7" auger blade. The fastener hole diameter was to small and it didn't work with my 7" Strike Master auger blade. I tried to modify the bit so my blade would fasten to the adapter. It was off center and wouldn't spin or balance the blade correctly. I will use it as a back up for my 6" auger blade. The description should say for 6" auger blade only.

    Good buy

    Seems to work good. Wouldve been nice to have a notice that you need to purchase protective disc to keep your auger from going to the bottom of lake, if the chuck on your drill loosens up.
