  • You get what you pay for

I bought two of these, the first one snapped at the CO2 connection when I try to install it. For the price it was I ordered a second one. The second one is running fine but it does not dissolve the CO2, I have tried running it at two bubbles per second up to six bubbles per second, I have tried running it with a 150 gallon per hour power head and a 325 gallon per hour power in and I always have the same results, microbubbles spitting out the return. I ended up filling the entire chamber with crushed up biomax figuring the bubbles would have to work their way through the media and dissolve and even that did not work. Save your money and buy the correct tool for the job. Also this thing is made of extremely cheap plastic not acrylic so be careful when handling I feel like it's very thin and ...

  • Does Not Dissolve CO2

Does not break down CO2. You would need to modify the design to have any noticeable effect. IF you understand how to do this, you could save a few bucks by buying this and then reengineering it. I'm running mine into an external canister filter but still have to crank up the CO2 to keep levels high enough for decent plant growth. The whole purpose of this is to save on the amount of CO2 you need to keep levels high. This device does not accomplish this mission

  • Terrible quality.

The instant I applied CO2 to the inlet it began leaking water; not CO2! This cheap piece of plastic is so poorly assembled it is amazing it even holds water with no pressure. I had my tank set on the lowest pressure setting I could get and it leaked like a sieve. Do NOT even consider this cheap junk .

  • This is a GREAT product

The good: This reactor completely dissolves the CO2 and is at least 40% more efficient than a diffuser.. You can use it externally if you have a canister filter and if you don't you can use it internally with a power head which is fantastic. They are cheap, efficient and very very easy to clean The Bad: There is a learning curve to getting this reactor to work at peak efficiency. First of all it buoyant when filled with co2 so i glued heavy slate coaters to the bottom of it, which i got off ebay, so that solved that issue. The next thing is that most needle valves are lousy. I found a precision needle valve at J&L aquatics. With the new needle valve i don't need a bubble counter becasue i can see the co2 level in the rector. I put another super strong power head behind this reactor to ...
