Shiny Entertainment, Tommy Tallarico Studios, Titus, and Big Grub have all lent a helping hand into the development of the PlayStation's first remote controlled helicopter simulation. Having been in development for over two years, R/C Stunt Copter saves the player from having to buy another stunt copter ever again! It does this by offering a realistic physic engine, a variety of gameplay options, free flights, and over forty-five arenas to test your landing, shooting, hovering, slaloming, and stunt flying. Among the gameplay modes are Training, One Player Game, Two-Player Competition, and Free Flight. The Training mode is mandatory as it thoroughly explains how the controls work and how to maneuver the helicopters. Try not to mess up too badly -- there's a drill sergeant watching your every move and hasn't much tolerance for mistakes. Upon completion of the Training mode, the One Player Game will become unlocked. It features five different stages broken into five different levels apiece for a total of 25 levels in all. There are four different types of copters including the Rookie, Pilot, Captain, and Ace, each being the focus of a certain stage. When all stages are complete, a bonus level will open up that truly tests your piloting skills! The Two-Player Competition pits you and a friend in heated battle to discover who is the better helicopter pilot. Players will use copters identical to each other while being graded on accuracy, timing, speed, stunts, etc. Though this mode can be played by alternating one controller, it is recommended that two controllers are used. When there are two controllers, the spectator can toggle on The Hand to distract the current player -- but be careful, that player will use The Hand on you! It also has a limited amount of use. Free Flight allows the player to choose a location and practice everything from landing the helicopter to pulling off advanced stunts. There is no need to worry about that nasty drill sergeant or messing up -- just fly the copter to your heart's desire! R/C Stunt Copter features Dual Shock Analog Controller support in both analog controls and the vibration function. Players can save their scores, stage progress, and stunts by using two Memory Card blocks of data.

One of the best PS1 Games
I bought a second copy as a backup in case my first copy ever breaks. In my opinion, R/C Stunt Copter is one of the most entertaining games ever made for the PS1 and the Dual Shock works very well to simulate a dual-stick R/C controller. I'm not sure whether to call this game an arcade game with the some of the difficulty of a simulator or a simulator with the fun of an arcade game. At the end of the day, it's a blast to play but you've got to put in the hours to get good.I bought a second copy as a backup in case my first copy ever breaks. I always liked this game and owned it when it was new so when I saw it for sale I jumped on it right away. This game is as fun and as aggravating as it ever was back in the day. It is much like flying my R/C copters and helps to bust the rust off my knuckles. It is a good reference to learn to fly an R/C copter, however, the camera angles in the game leave you wondering where you are, what your copter is doing and how close to objects you are. This in itself leads you to fail on missions and this is where the aggravating part comes in. If the designers would have left the camera to follow the copter around the edges of the boundaries the way it does thought the rest of the playing area I would rave about this game from sun up until the next sun up. If they were to rework it and fix this one and only problem with R/C Stunt Copter and re market it I believe it would be a Smash hit with all who encountered it. Being life what it is and the game being fifteen years old I think the time has passed where any refinements will be made. But also for a fifteen year old game it still packs an afternoon or evening full of fun, albeit with the aggravation I previously have mentioned. So if you ever wondered what it would be like to fly an R/C copter without throwing down thousands for a copter and parts then this is well worth the price. If you find yourself playing this for hours and days on end for weeks or even months then perhaps a real R/C copter is the thing for you. with practice on this game you will save yourself literally hundreds on broken parts as an R/C copter is a very expensive hobby for this exact reason. Believe me I know. I actually have never seen another game to compare to this one and I believe R/C Stunt copter stands alone until you step up to the simulators that cost hundreds, so by comparison their is none. I would like to give it 5 out of five just for the fun factor and because for something as old and outdated as it is I do find it a lot of fun, But I just cant stand by that when those camera angles let me down. For the price I paid I have to say it was well worth it as it cost less than one single part on my R/C copters that I fly for fun. R/C Stunt copter is worth buying. Is it worth the aggravation, you'll have to decide that on your own.

Stunt Copter is Life-like!
My fiance plays this game like he is being paid to do it. He is a real helicopter pilot, and says that this game has the most realistic maneuvering of the digital heli that he has ever seen on a video game!!! It doesn't have annoying music and there are many interesting features on it...Highly recommend it to helicopter pilots, lovers, and enthusiasts!!!!!!!!

Sony Playstation 1 R/C Copter game
Played this game years ago and loved it. Plays just like flying a real nitro helicopter. This game makes an excellent trainer before you go out and smash your real $1000 nitro burning copter. I've looked for years for another copy of this game for a gift, and finally found it.

If you want to learn how to fly radio controlled helicopters this is the game to have . Play station controllers are setup the same way as real RC controllers.you can get your eye and hand coordination ! be for you try flying the real thing ! it can save you a lot of money and time !!! this game is well worth the money !!
