Fans of EA Sports' long-running NBA Live series can express themselves on the hardwood like never before in this cross-platform "06" edition, thanks to the introduction of the "Freestyle Superstar" feature, which expands upon earlier editions' "Freestyle Control." Gamers who play as the league's biggest talents will have access to an alternate control scheme designed to allow them to perform exceptional moves, such as deceptive passes, unorthodox shots, and powerful dunks.<br><br>Different superstar players have different move sets available, according to their playing styles and specialties, as represented by eight categories: inside scorers, outside scorers, high fliers, playmakers, power players, and shooters. A few extremely proficient players may have more than one superstar style available to them, and gamers can choose which one they'll use.<br><br>In addition to new features, NBA Live 06 is designed to deliver the action and accuracy fans of the series have come to expect. The game offers an expanded Dynasty mode that allows players to lead their favorite teams far into the future. As with earlier editions, a full NBA license allows inclusion of all the league's real-life teams, rosters, and arenas. Television-style presentation includes play-by-play and commentary from Marv Albert and Steve Kerr.

    NBA Live 2006

    This is by far the best graphics of any of the NBA games . The movements are fluid and the players almost look real. Only downside is you cannot when multiple titles.

    NBA Live 06

    For this game, it really depends on what you are looking for. If you want a fast paced, arcade-style game this is it. The Freestyle-Superstar feature adds a whole new diminsion to basketball games. Multi-player is a lot of fun on NBA Live 06. With the high flying dunks and playmaker passing playing with your friends couldn't be better. That is if reality isn't that important to you. The off season in dynasty mode, and dynasty mode in general are rather poor. If you are looking for a realistic basketball game, check out NBA 2K6. If you are looking for a game that you would be mostly playing with a group of friends, and realistic gameplay (as in shooting percentages, not graphics) is not much of a factor, try NBA Live.

    The Best NBA game out.

    I like everything about this game but its hard to drive to the hoop. The three point contest it cool. When you get use to the game it'll be easy. Must have game. Wonder what they going to come up with on 07.

    Pretty good for an older Xbox title

    My son was looking for a baskeball video game to play for xbox or wii and I looked on ebay and found a few titles, I got a great deal on NBA Live 06(xbox) and so far we've got no complaints about the game. Fun, better graphics than wii, and cheap!!! 5 bucks including shipping 2 days from wbdeals.com

    Best basketball game EA Sports has came out with

    This was the last of great basketball games from EA. 07, 08 and on really sucked big time. The gaming engine of Live 06 is almost perfect. It still can tweak things to make it perfect but instead of EA doing just that they completely changed everything and went at least 5 steps back. Evident by Live 07's terrible gameplay.
